His career spans leadership roles at notable companies such as Veolia and JJ’s Waste & Recycling, where he contributed to strategic planning, project development, and technical leadership. At Phoenix Power, Chris drives innovation by implementing advanced composting technologies and overseeing the company’s mission to stay at the forefront of sustainable waste practices. Passionate about the circular economy and environmental stewardship, Chris’s leadership has been instrumental in optimising operations and expanding the company’s capabilities in organics recycling.
Jason Barrett
Jason Barrett serves as the Operations Manager at Phoenix Power Recyclers, a role he has held since 2018. With over 30 years of experience in operations and resource management, Jason’s career has spanned the mining, recycling, and environmental sectors. Before becoming Operations Manager, Jason worked as a Multiskilled Operator at Phoenix Power Recyclers and held supervisory roles at Peabody Coal and Edi Coal Mining. His extensive background in operations and logistics has equipped him with a robust skill set, allowing him to manage complex workflows and optimise operational efficiency. Jason’s commitment to sustainability and waste reduction aligns with Phoenix Power Recyclers’ mission to innovate and lead in organics recycling.
Mark Jackson
Mark Jackson has been a key part of Phoenix Power Recyclers since 2020, overseeing the logistics of our bulk transport operations, commercial & Council Contracts. He manages a modern fleet of specialised trucks and trailers, ensuring the efficient delivery of bulk materials to clients. Mark also plays a pivotal role in the sales and distribution of our landscape products, working closely with our commercial clientele to meet their needs. His expertise in logistics and contract management ensures smooth operations and successful client partnerships.
Dr. Deepak Ipe
Dr. Deepak Ipe, PhD, is the Senior Environmental Scientist at Phoenix Power Recyclers and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Griffith University. With over 15 years of experience in microbiology, Dr. Ipe’s extensive background includes working with environmental and human pathogens, supervising postgraduate research projects, and contributing to industry-collaborative environmental studies. His research has encompassed a variety of topics, including infection pathways, antimicrobial activity, and environmental biology. At Phoenix Power Recyclers, Dr. Ipe applies his scientific expertise to enhance the company’s waste processing and sustainability initiatives, ensuring innovative and environmentally responsible practices. Luke Veitch
Luke Veitch joined Phoenix Power Recyclers in 2020 and plays a vital role in managing liquid operations. Working with Operations Manager Jason Barrett, Luke oversees the handling of incoming and outgoing liquids, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining appropriate feedstock levels for our Advanced Composting Process (ACP). Collaborating with Shannon and Operations Manager Jason Barrett, Luke helps maintain efficiency and consistency in our liquid waste processing.
