The origins of our company go back to 1985 when we entered the marketplace primarily as a business selling Machinery that processed green organics (predominantly vegetation and woody materials).
Over the next 10 years we engineered and constructed the first Australian-Made mobile hammer mills to grind these materials and ultimately became the main driving force in replacing sawdust as the standard composting medium in Queensland.
In 2001 we won our first Government issued contract to process Domestic and Commercial Greenwaste for the Brisbane City Council. The demands of this contract led us to purchase our Yatala based property where we first started producing organic Soils, Mulch and Compost.
From humble beginnings as a small composting facility, whose principal mandate was Landfill Diversion, Phoenix has now grown into a fully integrated waste handling, separation and processing Resource with plans to improve and develop the Infrastructure onsite even further. The range of materials accepted onsite is vast and varied - Click here to see if your waste type is suitable for beneficial reuse through our facility.
Our desire to stay at the forefront of our Industry and respective technologies has led us all around the World. We have visited every Landfill, Waste Transfer Station and Composting Yard in Australia as well as several in Europe and the USA. Thirty years later, we continue to divert materials from Landfill and are now also engaged in producing Clean, Green, Renewable Energy from Biomass .
Our clients come from all sectors of industry – Councils, Governments, Waste Generators, Freighters & Transporters and our end product is distributed into both the Retail and Wholesale Landscaping, Agricultural, Horticultural and Home Gardening markets.
Phoenix’s range of Organic Soils, Mulch and Compost are sold throughout Queensland and Northern NSW.
